  • Breakfast and dinner are provided for the families by volunteers of the host congregation.
  • Sack lunches are prepared by the families for their noon meal with the items provided by the host congregation.
  • Tutoring, activities or companionship is offered to the guests by volunteers who arrive after dinner.
  • Overnight hosts from the host congregation stay with the guests until breakfast volunteers arrive.
  • Transportation to and from the Day Facility is provided by volunteers of the host congregation.
  • During the day, the families remain at the Day Facility where the Network Director assists them in finding housing, jobs or job training.

How Families are Selected:

  • The director interviews and screens each applicant family.
  • Background checks and drug tests are given.
  • Applicants must show a desire to change their circumstances by looking for work, obtaining job training, and searching for affordable housing.
